1) How well do you think it went?
2) How could you improve?
3) Thinking about the questions you were asked:
- What questions do you think you answered well?
- What questions could you answer differently?
4) How well do you think you answered non-verbally?

Next class, we find out who has been hired, and we will discuss the parts of a paycheck, and calculate monthly pay, and annual pay.

Today in class we went over interview techniques in preparation for Monday's mock interview exam.
Remember all I have taught you (you do have handouts)

On Friday (tomorrow) begin making your contacts with the interviewers listed on job ad posted in my classroom. You must make the interview. If you fail to do so, you will automatically fail you test. Also be on time, 5 minutes late, and you have failed the test.

Bring your resume and cover letter addressed to the interviewer
Example:

Ms. Susan Wehrsig
1000 Ululani St
Hilo, HI 96720
(808) 935-4936

Dear Ms. Wehrsig,

Use the school information as contact info for all interviewers
Go to interview dressed as instructed:

Ladies: Blouse and skirt or dress, closed shoes (not sneakers)
Gentlemen: Dress shirt (NO TIE), slacks, belts and dress shoes.
You will dress in interview clothing during lunch.

Remember to great interviewer with firm handshake, and wait to be directed to a seat.

Again this is a TEST, so be prepared.

Your homework:
Get ready for interview, study potential questions.

After the bell ringer, a few of you shared your 20 year plan with the class.

The topic of today's class was "How do you turn a passion into a career?"

We read an article and answer some thought provoking questions that serve to help guide you to a career that incorporates some of your passions into it.

For Homework: Read pages 300-305 in your textbook, and do Activities 55 and 56 in your workbooks.
